About

A supply company that shows its work.

Stowbridge Supply Co. is an independent product studio in Connecticut. We make small first runs of practical gear, and we choose what to make with data instead of guesses.

How we choose

We run a research system that watches demand signals across communities, marketplaces, and maker platforms. When something looks worth making, it goes to the bench: real supplier quotes, real landed-cost math, and samples in our hands. Most candidates fail there. The few that pass get a first production run, sized small on purpose.

Why first runs

Big inventory forces companies to keep selling things that turned out mediocre. Small numbered runs let us do the opposite: make exactly what was reserved plus a little, inspect every unit, and only grow a product that people actually love. Reserving is free, holds a unit, and obligates you to nothing.

The Cutting Room

We publish the candidates we kill and why. We don't clone other companies' products, we don't invent urgency, and we don't print certifications we don't hold. If a product's numbers only work by cutting a corner, it doesn't ship. Recent kills:

Still on the bench: a pocket light waiting on that battery redesign, and a machined titanium writing tool waiting on a supplier quote that survives our cost math.

The promise on every order
